Lovely photo. I read Thérèse Desqueyroux (spelling probably incorrect) by Mauriac several years ago and la Gironde played a large part as the background to the story.
The compliment for the picture should go to my husband as he’s the ace photographer.
Thérèse was set where we used to live before – St Symphorien on the edge of Les Landes though Mauriac called it something different. His family had a summer cottage there.
